I just love rang de basanti…
I feel it deeply urges the youth to rise from drowsiness to realistic world and think about his nation in deep terms.Everyone has got a duty to work for his nation in the same spirit as he works for himself.
And only then he has a right to say

personally I loved the music!!! paathshala rocks! But to tell you the truth I hated the movie. mindless plot…non-sense.

I felt like crying after watching the movie…..dramatic; isn’t it? Epic! The first thing I asked myself after watching the movie was what should I do-what should I do-what should I do? Its not jingoistic but simply touching. going to watch this baby again!

It cannot be said with certainty what miracles this film will bring about.
It might just be another film which is viewed with enthusiasm, greatly appreciated & applauded and then soon forgotten after it bags all the awards at Filmfare.

But since the Pre-Independence era, never has ‘Patriotism’ been so fervently discussed by the youth in the college canteen, in casual conversations between friends who earlier spoke about more trivial things.

The Youth is active. It now seeks its own definition of ‘Patriotism’ with which it can identify and connect. It wants to start afresh, discarding old views that bollywood has created on the concept of ‘Patriotism’.

This film has initiated a transition in the thought process of the Youth. And any social change in the history of the world is always preceeded by a change of thought and ideology.

‘Rang De Basanti’ is one of the finest movies i have ever seen in my life. Its a balanced mixture of realism, humour, emotion & the spirit of revolution, which is eternal.
The characters are real & we can even see ourselves in them. The make dirty jokes, they attack food like we do, the chill out when they have to, they have their own personal & family problems.
The music rocks- full of energy, life, fun lyrics.

Overall, it is an evocative & impactful film & i salute all those who were involved in the making of it. I wish i could perform in a production as amazing as this.
