I’m an idealist. I don’t know where I’m going, but I’m on the way.

main ek fard hoon (I am an individual)
ya ek ehsaas hoon (Or am I a feeling)
mein ek jism hoon (I am a body)
ya rooh ki pyaas hoon (Or the thirst of the soul)
ke sach ki talaash hai (In search of the truth)
duur aakaash hai (The sky is far)
manzil paas nahi (The destination is not near)
kiya tu mere paas hai (Are you near me)
kabhi mein aml hoon (Sometimes I am a worker)
kabhi beaml hoon (Sometimes I am a nobody)
gar tujh mein nahi (If I am not in you,)
to phir bemehl hoon (then I am unapt)
A very mystic song — Ehsaas (listen) by Atif Aslam, from his album Doorie.

While I was cleaning up my draft posts, a reference to a movie surfaced, which my friend Gautam recommended a couple of months back. The film – 11′ 09” 01 – September 11 – is an omnibus collection of eleven short films inspired by the events of September 11, 2001. Each film lasting 11 minutes, nine seconds and one frame. Eleven different countries and directors (including Sean Penn from US, Mira Nair from India). A true masterpiece.

Alright, its got nothing to do with Ornithology (which, as I just learned, is the study of birds), but the golden bird has just become a trillion-dollar economy and with that it moved into the elite club of 10 economic powerhouses that enjoy this distinction. As for the most endangered species, the sooner they become extinct, the better.
