As it turns out, the upcoming movie “Cloverfield” or “1-18-08″ (website / IMDB) as its formally being called, is creating a lot of buzz on the Internet. It all started through a mysterious trailer, which was shown in theaters as a preview before “Transformers”. From the trailer, it seems like a blend of “Blair Witch Project” (for its first-person handycam shots) and ID4 (for its aliens? creature?). Most definetly a sci-fi I reckon.

“1-18-08″ is being produced by J.J. Abrams (Alias, Lost). The film comes out on Jan 18 2008. That’s only 6 more months of non-stop rumors and speculation. Hey, at least they are not talking about the iPhone or Twitter. More viral marketing, and the plot will thicken.
