It’s that time of the year again. 2008 brought us some great films. Let’s see what’s in store for 2009. Here are the 10 most exciting movies to come in 2009:


10. Terminator Salvation (May 2009) – ‘John Connor’ returns in this sci-fi, FX frenzy, written by James Cameron.

9. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (June 2009) – Optimus and Shia will be back with another surefire blockbuster with giant transforming robots. Watch Trailer.

8. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (September 2009) – A mix of fantasy and mystery starring Johnny Depp, Heath Ledger, Colin Farrell, Jude Law. Trailer unavailable.

7. Avatar (December 2009) – James Cameron will bring this sci-fi thriller, around a band of humans pitted in a battle against a distant planet’s indigenous population.

6. Shutter Island (October 2009) – Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio team-up in this mystery drama based on a novel. Trailer unavailable.

5. Inglourious Basterds (June 2009) – Quentin Tarantino will be back with this war drama starring Brad Pitt. An film highlight with Quentin Tarantino …

4. Gran Torino (January 2009) – Clint Eastwood!

3. Star Trek (May 2009) – J.J. Abrams (Lost, Cloverfield) will bring this sci-fi chronicle of the early days of Kirk and the crew.

2. 2012 (June 2009) – With the Mayan calendar ending in 2012, the world must deal with disasters in this sci-fi thriller, from the maker of The Day After Tomorrow.

1. Angels & Demons (May 2009) – Tom Hanks returns in this prequel to The Da Vinci Code, chasing the Illuminati.

* The Taking of Pelham 123 (July 2009) – Denzel Washington stars in this action thriller.

* Sherlock Holmes (December 2009) – Guy Ritchie, Robert Downey Jr., and Jude Law team-up in this mystery drama.

  3. Crappy list because it did not have Watchmen or Wolverine. Those two movies gained massive anticipation at comicon 2008. and seriously No.8 who cares about that, people want Heath Ledgers last role to be an extraordinary one, not that gay movie
